Couldn't think of a title. Morning at Gingerbread meet up with the single mums and then into York afterwards. I got a picture of Lendal Bridge (which I do most weeks even though it's the same photo) Then I was on the look out for a daily gratitude journal as I thought it would keep … Continue reading 13th June: No title
After my Sunday afternoon shit show my friend suggested we meet in York for cake and sympathy. Emily and I were supposed to go swimming beforehand but Emily was up for a lie in and therefore so was I. We met at Hilda and Jane's near the City Walls on the Racecourse side of town. … Continue reading 10th June: A better day
I was feeling shitty last night and messaging a friend having a right old whinge. She suggested Emily and I come to York early and have tea and chat at hers before we wander into the city to meet one of our other single mum friends to follow the Pride march onto the racecourse. We … Continue reading 8th June: York Pride
A day in the life of... How boring you may be thinking. Well whatever, someone said to me 'I don't know how you do it' so I thought I might as well post a typical day for us. However I don't really do typical days, I'm not good at routine but here was our Thursday. … Continue reading 6th June: Everything I did. Literally Everything
It was a lovely day, sunny, hanging with single mama friends. Lots of gorgeous little ones having loads of fun together. Baby animals. Emily had her first sand experience (taste). I got an ice cream and dipped it in my coffee (try it). Just all round good stuff. Photo essay below:

Four of us went travelling around the East Coast area for a bit afterwards but because of pick ups and drop offs we ended up staying in Manhattan three times. … Continue reading 16th May: I ❤️ York
All the ways I am angry right now. Photo completely unrelated but cute. Click on it for ranty husband hating rage.
Not a catchy title but pretty much describes it. Grumble grumble life blah blah blah and then all my thoughts and feelings on Game of Thrones because I obviously have no sodding husband to watch / discuss with. Maybe even humour me and let me know if you agree so that I don't feel like the loneliest woman alive.
* edit - I posted this title and then realised it sounds like a bit of a sex toy blog. It's not that exciting. Just me hanging out in York * (...click on the title to read more about my day of POSITIVITY)
I really enjoy the Gingerbread charity single parent meet ups, but if you read my earlier post you'll see how it got me really wound up today. I think I'm just having a bad day. Emily is normally a good sleeper, she feeds a lot but doesn't make a fuss and falls asleep easily. Last … Continue reading 4th April: Ranty McGrump Face
Today we went for our third Gingerbread meet up, there were a few single mums and their little ones. I really enjoy the Gingerbread meetings, I love my group of Mum friends from my antenatal group but they are all happily married to dedicated fathers and although they offer sympathy / anger as appropriate it … Continue reading Gingerbread and single mum friends
